Launching the report in New York, United Nations Deputy Secretary-General Ms. Asha-Rose Migiro said, “our challenge is to translate this knowledge into policies that make a difference in people’s lives.” While UNDP's Associate Administrator Ms. Rebeca Grynspan, said “meaningful and transformative steps are needed to accelerate progress toward the MDGs in Africa.”
